Career Options for Humanities Students after CBSE Class 12th Results 2018: After giving board exams one of the biggest questions in front of CBSE Class12th Students is to choose a right career. It is one of the most important decisions of their life. For this, a person should self-analyze himself to find out his best/her best interest and set of skills. Career Options in Humanities Field

1. Law
Students who pursue this degree are designated as Lawyer. The Bar Council of India (BCI) is the main regulatory body of Law Education. Law courses available to students after 12 class are B.A. LL.B., LL.B., BBA LLB, B.Com LL.B. This course can be followed by 1 or 2 years long Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Doctorate (Ph.D.).

Admission Criteria
To get admission in law, students have to appear in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).This test is conducted to get admission to National Law Universities and institutions.
BCI provides Certificate of Practice after completing LL.B. to candidates. To practice, law one has to qualify All India Bar Examination (AIBE).

Career options
A Law student can become a judge by appearing in the Public Service Commissions, Criminal lawyer, a government lawyer, civil litigation lawyer, legal analyst, legal journalist, legal advisor, document drafting lawyer, etc.

2.Hotel Management
This career prepares students to work in hotels, resorts, aviation, cruise, and casinos. Students can pursue BSC/BA IN Hotel Management for 3-4 years.
Career after completing the course leads to lifestyle, business management in hotels fields.

3. Creative Careers
There are so many career options available for students as per their interests in this field that we cannot name all. An interest in any art form like Music, Dance, Painting, etc., or in media studies, advertisement, Journalism, filmmaking, photography, animation etc. Become a Designer. To name a few various kinds of designers are a fashion designer, interior designer, leather designer, textile designer, graphic designer, accessory designer etc.

4. Tourism
This industry is one of the biggest sources of foreign exchange earnings in the country and offers a number of career roles to the candidates. Students should have thorough knowledge about traveling and tourist destinations, business tactics and social etiquettes.
There are graduate level, postgraduate level, diploma and certificate courses available in this industry. After completion, of course, one can find career options both in public and private sector-with Directorates, department of tourism, a job in a travel agency, hotels, airline, transport agency, etc.

5. Education and Teaching Related Career
These courses lead to the job of a teacher/instructor. Some well-known education courses that a student after 12th class can opt are:-
  • Diploma in Elementary education
  • Primary Teachers Training course (followed by B.Ed.)
  • Diploma in Yoga education.
  • B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of physical education) – can be pursued of
  • B.EI.Ed (Bachelor of elementary education) duration is 4 years and can be perused after bachelor’s degree.
6. Bachelor of Arts (B.A)
There is also an option to pursue B.A for students who wish to change their stream. B.A. can be done in various subjects like Sales and Marketing, English, Hindi/Urdu, Social Science, Foreign language.

7.Event Organizer
Your work is simple and quite fun too. You are the boss of everyone but being the man in charge blames you for good as well as the bad. You must know how to plan and organize things in such a way that your clients become happy. You will need to utilize your skills of organizing and planning to the fullest.

8. Journalist
If you have interest in interviewing people, writing and knows how to spice up even the dullest thing so that people find it interesting to hear, then you are my friend already have a lot of skills required for this job.

9. Public Relations Manager
Public relations is a growing career nowadays, a lot of demand. It requires strong reading, writing, and interpersonal skills to handle people of different types of situation. You need to have a good understanding power of people and situations. You should know how to manipulate a situation in such a way maintaining the image in public.

10. Counselor
A person with a humanities bachelor's degree is perfect for being a counselor. Most counseling positions require completion of a master's degree, and licensure is often necessary as well. If you want to help people, guide them with your skills then you should go for this career.
